Today in Tuned In, Demi Lovato professes her undying devotion to besties Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez, Jay-Z threw a carnival for charity in Brooklyn, Ozzy's son Jack Osbourne is engaged, and Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson were spotted together again at a Radiohead concert. Here's what's up.
• Demi Lovato's new album Unbroken debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, moving about 96,000 copies in its first week. The singer spoke to Billboard magazine about her tumultuous year (she entered rehab for an eating disorder and cutting last November), crediting a very special pair of friends with helping her through her time of need.
I feel like there are some people that you're friends with that talk to you on Twitter or you text, but the people that are really there for me are the people that were there for me when I went into treatment. The people that were calling me while I was in there were Kim Kardashian and Selena Gomez. Those two girls, they meant the world to me. They still do.
Demi and Kim have been good friends since Lovato listed the most famous Kardashian as her personal style icon, saying, "I'm starting to have curves and I'm embracing it and kind of looking to her style to help me out with that." Demi has been best friends with Selena since the late '90s, when they both had roles on Barney & Friends.
• Jay-Z held a charity carnival in Brooklyn on Thursday evening, raising funds for the Shawn Carter Foundation, which provides full college scholarships to students in need. He explained to E! Online, "If you want to be lazy, that's a different thing. But if you apply yourself and do everything that you have to do to get to a certain point and can't go further because of your financial situation, I think that is a shame."
Jay didn't really comment on the baby he's expecting with wife Beyoncé, except to say, "I'm excited! I think that is pretty easy."
It amazes me how fashion changes and how older things come back in this era.

It is interesting how fashion and even things that come from fashion like home design, kitchen ware design and efficiency, cars, books, movies all run in a huge cycle, that gets updated each time something that is from an "older generation" comes back in style.
