COUNTDOWN TO THE KARDASHIAN WEDDING

Bride-to-be Kim Kardashian kicked off her weekend wedding festivities with a lavish rehearsal dinner Thursday night, attended by family and close friends.

75 guests piled into Scarpetta of Beverly Hills to fete the happy couple. "Kim and Kris rented the whole restaurant for their special celebration," a source inside the hotel told People.

"Kim and Kris were hand-in-hand and side by side for most of the night," a witness told the mag. "Kim was beaming and looked absolutely gorgeous. During dinner, there were some heartfelt speeches and tears, but mostly laughter. Everyone seemed to have a great time."

Sister Khloe Kardashian tweeted about the evening, writing "such an amazing night with my family and friends."

Kim Kardashian hopped on Twitter herself to tell fans about her evening.

"What a fun night w family & friends!" she wrote. "Now I'm sleeping in late tomorrow!"

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries are scheduled to wed Saturday, August 20.

Alex Reid: I still love Katie Price even though she said she didn't love me

Alex Reid has revealed that he's still got feelings for estranged wife Katie Price - despite the fact just last week he was gushing about his affections for new girlfriend Chantelle Houghton.

But Alex, who reckons fellow Celebrity Big Brother winner Chantelle, 27, had mended his heart, denies still being besotted with his ex.

Kim Kardashian Wedding Update: Calm, But OMGGGG So Excited!!!!

Kim Kardahsian will be walking down the aisle this Saturday.

Despite the craziness of the planning and the natural pre-wedding jitters any girl gets before her second marriage, Special K is remarkably sanguine.

“I’m very calm,” Kim told Access Hollywood Sunday at the Do Something Awards in Los Angeles, regarding her wedding to NBA star Kris Humphries.

“Maybe last week I was a little bit more freaked out with space and invites, just making sure everything was perfect. But this week I’m totally calm.”

The bride-to-be, who will be wearing a Vera Wang gown at her August 20 ceremony in Montecito, took to Twitter over the weekend to express her feelings:

“OMGGGG my wedding is a week away!!!! This is so crazy!!! I’m so happy!”

There you have it. If she does get kold feet, there's always kold hard kash to help kalm her nerves. Kim has plenty of endeavors to keep her occupied.

“I’m busy,” she said. “I have my big Sears launch (the Kardashian Kollection) this week, so I’m focusing on that. I’m working every day this week.”

Saturday night, all she'll have to focus on will be her wedding song, an E! kamera krew of 20 and Kris officially bekoming Mr. Kim Kardashian.
